After experiencing firsthand the challenges of finding safe dining options for my partner and myself, I was inspired to create a solution—an allergen-free fruit bowl café. Food allergies impact approximately 33 million Americans, including nearly 11% of adults and 8% of children. Yet, despite this growing prevalence, truly safe and inclusive dining experiences remain limited.
At Blissful Bowls, our mission is to redefine what it means to enjoy a treat by offering fresh, delicious options in an environment where safety and inclusivity are at the forefront. Everyone deserves the simple joy of a worry-free indulgence—and we're here to make that possible.
Introduce your brand
My capstone exhibit showcases how the Blissful Bowls brand would be brought to life in a restaurant setting, highlighting its mission to raise awareness about food allergies through thoughtful design and inclusive dining experiences.
Menu
Menus will be prominently displayed both on tables and at the front kiosk for customer convenience. Each menu is double-sided: the front side outlines the "Build Your Own" options for bowls and smoothies, while the reverse side features a curated selection of premade combinations. To ensure transparency and safety, the front side also highlights—clearly and in bold—the allergens our offerings are free from.
Signage
Signage displayed on the opposite walls of the cafe.
Interior
Using the brand standards I developed, I created a mockup to visually represent my vision for the café's design and atmosphere.
Loyalty cards would be used to encourage customers to continue coming back!
Loyalty Card
Blissful Bowls
The product bowls will be made from recyclable materials and feature a clean white design with the brand logo prominently centered. Spoons will include the logomark engraved or printed on the handle's top. With the exception of the glass smoothie jars, which are reusable, all packaging materials will be fully recyclable to support our commitment to sustainability.
Capstone Exhibit
Blissful Bowls was my final project for my undergraduate capstone. This project required deep diving into food allergies and how branding can bring awareness. For this project, I created the actual exhibit for the gallery but also branding materials, educational brochures, stickers, and more.
